The new Chroma-Q Studio Force T 12 Phosphor 3200K CCT tungsten white fixture, designed for TV and film production, produces up to 6,000 lumens of light with a quality comparable to the soft edge output of a fluorescent fixture. Using LED technologies found in Chroma-Q’s Studio Force range, the fixture’s camera-friendly features include uniform wash, extra soft beam and theatrical grade dimming. The unit is equipped with a manual control mode, color touchscreen interface and Fanless, Studio and Full modes of operation.

TruColor LS squeezes the Remote Phosphor Technology (RPT) found in Cineo’s TruColor HS into a smaller, lighter package. Along with an ample volume of soft light, TruColor LS promises an extended CRI over 95, a 160-degree beam spread and the ability to run on less than 170W of AC power. Instead of direct light from LEDs, TruColor LS, like TruColor HS, have independent phosphor panels that get “excited” by high-frequency wavelengths from blue LEDs. This lets users achieve a variety of color temperatures through the use of interchangeable phosphor panels.

Elation’s TVL4000 packs 1600 cool and warm white LEDs (800 of each) into a 27-lb. panel measuring 26” x 23.75” x 5.” Users can adjust the color temperature from 2900K to 6000K. The entire fixture draws just 160W at full output while providing 960 lux at 5 meters. The flicker-free fixture has built-in 5-pin and 3-pin connections for DMX control with an LED menu system on the rear for configuration and local control. Adjustable barn doors are included.

With a 98 CRI and color temperature of 3200K color (5600K optional), the single 100W LED is designed for flicker-free dimming without color shift. A manual slide bar at the side of the fixture focuses the beam and locks in place. The fixture runs without internal fans, and a touchpad allows for programing for DMX control/dimming. Riedel Earns Sports Emmy Award for Red Bull Stratos Broadcast

NEW YORK — Wuppertal, Germany-based Riedel Communications won a Sports Emmy Award in the “Outstanding New Approaches Sports Event Coverage” category for the company’s involvement with the Red Bull Stratos project. Riedel received the honor from the National Academy of Television Arts and Science at the 34th Annual Sports Emmy Awards, held May 7 in New York City.
