DALLAS – When LD Kevin “Deuce” Christopher and the production team set out to complete the design for Journey’s 2011 tour, he knew that video would be a key component. As the lights would be placed side-by-side to the video, brightness was essential, but he also needed a variety of characteristics to complement the variety of songs. Christopher chose 44 VL3500 Wash and 28 VL3000 Spot luminaires from Philips Vari-Lite, supplied by Epic Production Technologies.

MASCOT, Australia – An ETC EOS console is controlling a production of Moby Dick for The State Opera of South Australia. The show is the same show theatrical LD Don Holder originally designed for the Dallas Opera. Holder, unable to make the trip to Australia to oversee the replication, called on associate Gavan Swift to oversee the process. Jands provided an EOS 4000 console, which Swift found easy to work with.
