Clay Paky Sharpys, grandMA2 for Latin Grammys

BERGAMO, Italy – LD Carlos Colina specified 50 Clay Paky Sharpy lighting fixtures and grandMA2 lighting systems for the 12th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, telecast live Nov. 10 on Univision Network. Atomic Lighting of Lititz, PA, supplied the equipment for the second consecutive year. This year’s show took place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

NEW CASTLE, DE – Pete’s Big TVs is providing LED screens, HD cameras and video crew for Donny & Marie Osmond’s touring Christmas Shows in Detroit and now in Chicago through Dec. 24. The Broadway-style revue, under Show Director Michael Barnard, features a mix of holiday songs, Broadway show tunes and career hits. The scenic elements include the LED screens which serve as the backdrop to display a family album of photos and filmed career highlights throughout the show.

AUSTIN, TX – Indy bands  Passion Pit and The Glitch Mob each featured High End Systems intellaspot automated luminaires in recent shows. Glitch Mob LD Andy Cass tried out all their features, putting them through their paces from nightclubs to festival headlining shows. LD Marc Janowitz spec’d the intellaspots on Passion Pit, and as lighting director, Cass used the fixtures again for this band on a short run.

Christie MicroTiles Draw Visitors to Church History Museum

CYPRESS, CA – Christie MicroTiles are the first thing visitors see when going into the Church History Museum in downtown Salt Lake City, UT. In the lobby, in an array 12 units wide by six units high, the array shows two displays simultaneously –  highlighting history and showing scenes of future exhibits. The MicroTiles are serving their purpose of drawing in visitors and guiding them through the exhibit.
