A team from Netherlands-based creative studio Live Legends headed by project director Serge Patist and lighting designers Thomas de Vries and Bas Knappers completed a bold and modern interior design and technical – set, video, lighting and audio – scheme for the SIR.TEEN Group and their new Club BEEN, a brand-new venue and entertainment concept that has burst onto the highly competitive nightlife scene in Beijing, China. The lighting design features over 250 Robe moving lights – 144 x Spikies and 76 x Viva CMYs and six T1 Profiles.

Brown Note Productions Deploy GLP Products to Project Black Coffee at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Colorado-based Brown Note Productions recently fielded GLP products to help provide a riveting backdrop and enhance the natural wonder that is the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The show was a fast-moving, high-octane performance by South African DJ/producer Black Coffee and guests. For this production, GLP solutions formed the major part of a lighting design that was piloted by Chris Thoms.

Olympic Cauldron Uses Light and Water to Create Fire

On Friday, July 26th, French athletes Marie-José Pérec and Teddy Riner lit the Cauldron of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 at the end of the Opening Ceremony. Created by French designer Mathieu Lehanneur, the Paris 2024 Cauldron, located in the Jardin des Tuileries on the grounds of the Louvre, is a giant ring of “fire” topped by a monumental balloon that takes to the skies over Paris. For the first time in the history of the Games, the Olympic Flame will shine without fuel. The 100% electric flame without fuel is created by use of water and light.

Ed Warren Revs Up Four Tet Under The Bridge Performance with ChamSys

The acclaimed British lighting designer, Ed Warren and his client Four Tet were 100-feet below the long and very busy Kosciuszko Bridge in NYC, busy doing what they love. Those passing overhead between Brooklyn and Queens were oblivious to the two-day festival below featuring a mix of EDM music from Four Tet and 20 artists. Warren lit Four Tet’s two main stage sets using his ChamSys MagicQ MQ500M Stadium Console.
