MILOS Xtruss Adds Some Flair to the Korea Energy Show

LOS ANGELES – Elation Professional announced that it is acquiring the M-Series range of entertainment lighting controllers from Harman Professional Denmark ApS, formerly Martin Professional ApS. The asset-based acquisition, to be completed before the end of Q1 2018, will include a limited-term license agreement to distribute current controller products using the name “M-Series.” Elation said it will also provide continued technical support and warranty service for prior Martin M-Series sales.

VANCOUVER, BC – For Katy Perry’s first string of North American show dates on her 2018 Witness tour, Canadian pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen got things started as the opening act, and LD Charles Ford’s challenge was creating a design in the space, or “iris,” of Perry’s cat-eye shaped set. His solution came in the form of 14 High End Systems HEX fixtures for the shows, which ran from Jan. 5-Feb. 6, 2018. Hanging eight HEX vertically in trusses and another six HEX on the floor positioned horizontally, Ford’s flexible rig gave the illusion of having more fixtures.

LOS ANGELES – The main event at Staples Center on Feb. 17 was the NBA All-Star game. But the night before, one of the hottest tickets in town was the invitation-only Budweiser Live event held at the new City Market Social House. That event, featuring performances from T-Pain, A Boogie wit da Hoodie and MadeinTYO, was lit with more than 400 fixtures from Chauvet Professional.
