LONDON – When award-winning New Zealand electronic act The Naked And Famous (T/N/A/F) came to London in October at the end of a successful festival season, Entec was delighted to supply the lighting equipment for their special one-off show at the 1,700-capacity Electric Brixton. Liam Griffiths of Stage Techniques has been the band’s lighting designer since they emerged from Auckland with their first major single ‘Young Blood’ in 2010. “I went out on a European tour with them that year and we all hit it off from the start,” says Liam. “I’ve been doing it ever since. They’re a fantastic band to light.”

FLEX Theatre at Carroll College Upgrades to Elation LED Lighting System

HELENA, MONTANA – The theatre program at Carroll College in Helena, Montana, has been producing wonderful productions for the last 35 years, in spite of entertainment technology that is at least that old. The program recently updated their 120-seat FLEX Theatre with a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient Elation Professional LED lighting system that opens up all new possibilities for student creativity in the new theatre space. Formerly housed in an old gymnasium with a lighting rig made up of antiquated Fresnels, scoops, and ellipsoidals, the theatre department’s move to a new location gave the program the opportunity to reimagine the space using new technology.
