Chauvet Weathers Hurricane Irma

SUNRISE, FL  –  Chauvet reopened its Florida facility on Tuesday September 12, resuming operations in its warehouse as well as its support, sales, service and product development departments following Hurricane Irma. “Fortunately, our associates are all safe and our building made it through the storm with no damage,” said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet. “We worked together and moved quickly to put everything in place to service our customers.”

AUSTIN, TX — “Harvey Can’t Mess with Texas: A Benefit Concert for Hurricane Harvey Relief” is set for Sept. 22 at the Frank Erwin Center from 7-11 p.m. ET. The four-hour concert will be broadcast on 11 Texas TEGNA stations and stream internationally on YouTube’s Texas Strong channel from 9-10 p.m. Central.

LOS ANGELES – When electronic music producer Flume returned to Red Rocks in July, a large complement of Claypaky Sharpys and Sharpy Washes, grandMA2 light consoles and MDG theONE atmospheric generators helped the Grammy winner light up the iconic Colorado amphitheater.  Brown Note Productions provided the equipment, which is distributed exclusively in North America by A.C.T Lighting, Inc. Flume, the professional name of Harley Edward Streten, enjoyed a successful Red Rocks debut in 2016.  This year he added the date to an already impressive American tour during which he headlined at Bonnaroo, CRSSD and Electric Forest.

NEW YORK – “Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief,” a one-hour TV special on Sept. 12 that featured performances and appearances from a long roster of concert, film and TV stars, raised $44 million in less than one day for those affected by hurricanes Harvey and Irma, and more than $55 million in all. The event was organized by a team led by production manager Scooter Braun, many of whom were also involved in quickly mobilizing and organizing the “One Love Manchester” benefit with Ariana Grande in the U.K. It was organized in response to Hurricane Harvey but expanded to include Irma victims as well.

NASHVILLE – American country singer Easton Corbin has spent the majority of 2017 performing his hits such as “Girl Like You” and “A Little More Country Than That” to audiences across the country. The Academy of Country Music Award winner is currently on tour with a lighting package from Bandit Lites that compliments his lively sound. Lighting Director Tanner Peterson took ahold of the advice of lighting designer Andy Knighton, who said, “Make it big, but keep it simple.”

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Arkansas Children’s Hospital is the only hospital system in the state solely dedicated to children, giving them a unique ability to shape the landscape of pediatric care. As part of their dedication to the complete well-being of children, the hospital recently underwent a renovation of their atrium lobby to create a deeper visual experience through the addition of newly commissioned artwork.
