LDI 2016 Draws Big Crowds with Product Innovation, Solutions

LAS VEGAS — The 2016 LDI show, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center Oct. 21-23, featured a slew of new ideas in the form of products and solutions all geared to make the lives of attendees a little brighter, flashier or just plain easier. Whether attendees were looking for a high-tech way to optimize their visual design work flow or a low-tech but useful gizmo that could be hammered into a squished connector to make it round again, solutions abounded on LDI’s show floor, which featured 350 exhibitors and a big audio demo area in the parking lot outside.

Hosted by Grammy nominated composer/guitarist Andrew Below, the yearly gala took place October 22 at the Rio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas during LDI. In addition to being nominated every year since the awards inception in 2001, this year’s win marks the sixth time Bandit has been awarded the Parnelli and the 25th overall Lighting Company of the Year award for the company.

LAS VEGAS – Robe enjoyed an action-packed LDI expo in Las Vegas, this year all the more memorable for collecting a coveted 2016 Parnelli award in the ‘Indispensable Lighting Technology’ category for the hugely successful BMFL WashBeam luminaire. Robe highlighted two brand new products for the first time at a U.S. exhibition – the Spiider LED wash beam – “the next big thing” from the Czech manufacturer, and Halo, an ingenious new LED ‘pixel technology’ device. Christie Forms Content Management and Processing (CMP) Group, Names Clark Williams Executive VP

CYPRESS, CA – Christie announced the formation of a new Content Management and Processing (CMP) led by newly named executive vice president Clark Williams. The new group encompasses the company’s content management and processing products, including Christie Spyder, Christie Phoenix, Christie Brio and Christie Pandoras Box. Williams will oversee CMP engineering and product management staff in Kitchener, Ontario; Phoenix, AZ and Cologne, Germany. He rejoins Christie after working as an industry consultant. Prior to that, he was president of Vista Controls Systems, which was acquired by Christie in 2007 and which Williams headed for several years at Christie. Also part of Williams’s team is Victor Vettorello, who has experience at both Christie and Vista Controls Systems.  He rejoins Christie as senior applications specialist for the upcoming Christie Spyder X80 debut.
