ROSKILDE, Denmark – Production lighting designer Sune Verdier arranged for 40 Robe BMFL Spots to be at the heart of the rig lighting the 17,000 capacity Arena Stage at the 2016 Roskilde Festival, giving visiting LDs the tools they’d need to craft a variety of impressive looks. It was his fifth year coordinated the show visuals. Copenhagen-based rental company Comtech supplied the BMFLs, and other lighting fixtures, for the event, including 24 Robe Pointes.

Edinburgh Tattoo Organizers Purchase Projection Gear for 2016 Event

EDINBURGH, Scotland – For the last 11 years  spectacular large format projections that have graced Edinburgh Castle creating a dramatic and dynamic backdrop for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo season. They have just become  brighter with a new video projection system specified by digital artist Ross Ashton from The Projection Studio. The 12 Panasonic PT-DW17K2 projectors have been purchased by the Tattoo and are running for the first time during the 2016 program.

LAS VEGAS — The Parnelli Awards nominations process has been underway since early August, and there’s still time to let your preferences be known and for your voice to be heard. (And if you haven’t done so, you can also nominate a product for an Indispensable Technologies “IT” Award this month as well.) But time is running out — the nominations deadline for both the Parnelli Awards and the IT Awards this year is Aug. 24, 2016, at 8 a.m., Pacific time. (Those on the East Coast get until 11 a.m. before the nominations window slams shut.) These nominations will form the basis of the Parnelli ballot, which will be posted in early September. Final voting takes place throughout September.
