BIRMINGHAM, U.K. – Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), who blended the sounds, rhythms and riffs of contemporary rock and pop with classical arrangements to produce a unique sound that was massively popular in the 1970s and 80s, recently hit the road again for the first time in 27 years. Led by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Lynne, one of the original founding members, the tour rig supplied by Neg Earth included 82 Robe BMFL Spots and 10 BMFL Blades. LONDON  – Kave Theatre supported the University of West London’s Student Union’s “Love Your Union” campaign with gobo projections using fixtures from Chauvet Professional. The project, which included a giant heart projected on the side of a five story building for 12 hours a day over a three week span, included eight Rogue RH1 Hybrids, eight COLORdash Par-Quad 18 style fixtures, eight COLORado Batten 72 Tour linear washes and eight COLORado Batten 144 Tours.

SYDNEY – Technical Direction Company (TDC) worked with creative communications agency Spark44 Sydney and multimedia designers/animators Spinifex Group on a projection mapping and LED installation starring Jaguar’s new F-PACE SUV at Sydney’s Martin Place. The project reflected Jaguar’s support for Vivid Sydney 2016. After pushing a large “Start” button, the multimedia experience begins, presenting the vehicle on an angled podium against a diamond-shaped LED video wall. The vehicle itself comes alive with a video projection that deconstructs, rotates, recontextualises and generally manipulates the Jaguar SUV’s geometry.
