FRANKFURT, Germany – At Prolight + Sound earlier this month, MDG’s new stand featured atmosphere generation products that included demos for the company’s new Atmosphere range, the Me Family, the IceFog Series of low-fog generators and their award-winning product, theOne. The booth also featured videos showing how to unleash the full potential of some of the larger generators that the environs of a trade show were not able to accommodate. The highlight of the show was the intro for the company’s “8-nozzled monster,” the Me8.

Laserworld Details New Visual Possibilities Enabled by RTI NEO SIX RGB Units Featured at PL+S

FRANKFURT, Germany – Laserworld Group detailed some of the new laser gear and technologies deployed at the Prolight+Sound exhibition in Frankfurt earlier this month including the twelve RTI NEO SIX RGB units on the PRG/LEA Stage. With 12 beam arrays, LD Jerry P. Appelt was able to control a total of 72 individual laser beams via DMX in 16bit fine positioning mode. Along with the new RTI units, Laserworld-owned tarm lasers were featured. The laser show was controlled through Lasergraph DSP laser control software and hardware, in combination with grandMA2 consoles.

OXFORDSHIRE, U.K. – Central Presentations Ltd (CPL) provided a widescreen projection system plus lighting and sound production for ‘Big Day Out’, an event for ITV Commercial sales teams staged at Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire. The event, which included series of motivational talks and presentations interspersed with choreographed entertainment and magicians, took place in the venue’s Lecture Theatre. CPL supplied a 12 by 4 meter (WxH) projection screen, fed by Panasonic 12K laser projectors.

White Light Provides Lighting Gear for Musical Based on British Mod Group, The Small Faces

LONDON – All or Nothing, a musical that opened recently at The Vaults in London, is based on the life and music of British Mod group The Small Faces. White Light provided a lighting rig that includes 52 Par 64s and two ETC Source Four Revolutions specified by LD Peter Small. Small also used Look Solutions Unique 2.1 Haze Machine, CCT Minuette Fresnels and ETC Source Fours for the show. White Light supplied the gear.

Miners’ Day Celebration in Russia Goes Deep with Martin Fixtures

MURMANSK REGION, Russia –– MuzTrade, an authorized distributor of Harman’s Martin lighting products in the Murmansk region, an area that borders Finland and Norway north of the Arctic Circle, provided Martin lighting fixtures for an event held 1,000 feet beneath the ground. Marking Russian Miners’ Day, the celebration also heralded the launch of Main Shaft No. 2 in the Kirovsk mine.
