Jason Osterman Joins Altman Lighting

YONKERS, NY – Altman Lighting announced that Jason Osterman has joined the company as Global Specifications Manager. Osterman will work with large scale specification accounts to support design efforts, perform product training sessions and generate Altman Lighting based project specifications. Prior to joining Altman Lighting, Osterman served as a Senior Consultant for Theatre Projects London where he has worked for the last eight years. He has also worked as a technician with the English National Opera and as a Production Specialist with Vincent Lighting Systems.

The panels displayed visual content and pictures of the various comic book figures in the film, in addition to “Batman” and “Superman” lettering.

HONG KONG – GLP‘s impression LED range was out in force at the eighth Clockenflap, a three-day outdoor music and arts festival that took place in late Nov. 2015  in Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District. For U.S.-based duo Ratatat, who performed on the Atum stage, AHM Engineering Co. Ltd. provided GLP fixtures including 52 X4 LED moving heads and 20 X4 Bar 10 high performance battens.

USITT Free Stage Rigging Inspections Uncover Risks, Hazards

NEW YORK – USITT’s Rigging Safety Initiative, a program devoted to increasing stage safety at schools across Americ, continues to invite high school auditorium administrators to apply for the free service. Recent inspections turned up problems ranging from “ropes seem loose” to “cable cradle has slipped” to “noisy metal grinding sound.” USITT started the program in 2011 and has since approved over 100 schools for free inspections by its partner rigging companies, which charge USITT a reduced rate. The program is sponsored by JR Clancy, ETC, Shepard Exposition Services, and H&H Specialties, as well as individual donors.
