BLACKBURN, U.K. – Lighting and visuals specialist HSL is supplying lighting and production rigging for the theatrical staging of Jeff Wayne’s 1978 cult album, “War of the Worlds,” at the Dominion Theatre, Tottenham Court Road, London, produced by Bill Kenwright. The work is based on HG Wells’ 1879 novel about a Martian invasion and is being played completely with a mix of orchestral and electronic musicians conducted by Wayne himself.

ARAM Supports Intel Extreme Masters Event in Poland

KATOWICE, Poland – The finals of the 10th Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) season, an electronic gaming tournament sanctioned by the Electronic Sports League (ESL), took place during the IEM Expo at Poland’s Spodek Arena March 4, 5 and 6. The tournament took place in front of 10,000 live spectatores along with 34 million unique viewers logging in from around the world. ARAM handled the planning, design and technical production of  all five stages including giant main stage and also 11 trade fairs booths for the three-day event, including rental of lighting, multimedia, scenic, audio, trussing and rigging as well as custom made automation systems.

Scenex Lighting from GLP US Inc. launched a new range of flexible pixel control LED tape, featuring four-color RGBW LED’s, with different color temperature options available for the white LED element. NEW YORK – For jam band moe.’s winter tour, LD Justin Casey chose a rig that included 12 Clay Paky A.leda B-EYE K20s and four Stormy CC RGBW LED Strobes, with a grandMA2 light and onPC Command Wing for lighting control. Although a lot of venues have strobe lights in their house rigs, Casey selected the Stormy CC RGBW Strobes to add color to conventional strobe effects. A lighting designer with Nashville-based Pulse Lighting, Justin Casey has been working with the band since last July.  Moe. tours year-round; their winter tour recently concluded in NYC.
