HULL, U.K. – dbn Lighting from Manchester recently designed and supplied lighting equipment to two innovative site-specific shows in Hull created by outdoor arts and performance specialists Walk The Plank, in their role as artistic directors of Hull Freedom festival –  a diverse mix of arts, music and cultural events staged over three days in and around the city of Hull, UK.

Hyrljudet in Sweden Provides Robe Pointes to Local Venues

GOTHENBURG, Sweden – Hyrljudet, a sound company that has branched into lighting since it was founded in 2005 by Kristoffer Jansson, added 24 of Robe’s Pointes to its inventory earlier this year. A dozen were deployed at the 1,500-capacity Port du Soleil in central Gothenburg. Ten more went in to Backstage, another summer venue with a capacity for 800 electro-dance revelers.

LAS VEGAS – High End Systems drew crowds to its LDI booth with gear ranging from the new SolaWash Pro 2000, SolaSpot Pro 2000 and Uno to featured products including the SolaSpot Pro 1500, ShapeShifter and Hog 4 Hoglet and Miniwing. Also featured: the new GUI interface for Axon. The company also staged the finale for its Hog Factor competition and awarded a new Hog 4 console and $20,000 scholarship to the winning school, Carnegie Mellon University (pictured here).
