LONDON – This is the year that iconic crooner Frank Sinatra would have celebrated his 100th birthday, and to mark that milestone, Sinatra – via 3D rotoscoped imagery and never before seen video – is on stage once again at the London Palladium, starring in Sinatra: The Man & His Music. The sleek, cutting edge production, mounted by Producer Karl Sydow, takes place 65 years after Sinatra played his first gig outside the U.S. Technical Performance and Presentation, the London-based representative for RC4 Wireless, stepped in for a wireless assist.

Airbeat One EDM Dance Festival Lighting Includes Clay Paky Fixtures

NEUSTADT-GLEWE, Germany — The Airbeat-One festival happens yearly since 2002 on the private airfield of Neustadt-Glewe in North Germany and is held by the rental company Music-Eggert. There are several floors where a lot of EDM fans can listen to several styles of their favorite music. The Main Floor this year alone was equipped with various Clay Paky fixtures. The event was held from July 16-19, 2015.

Schengenfest 2015 in Slovenia Lit with Robe fixtures

SLOVENIA – Leading Slovenian lighting designer Crt Birsa was asked to create a dynamic production lighting scheme for the main stage at the 2015 Schengenfest event, Slovenia’s largest festival, staged at Vinica, Bela Krajina and attracting up to 10,000 music fans each day. They enjoyed a series of rousing performances from a selection of top international artists and local heroes including Rudimental (DJ set), Asian Dub Foundation, Magnifico, Siddharta Stahlzeit and Guano Apes.

Lightswitch Explores Lighting, and Learning

ORLANDO – Inspired by the United Nations’ International Year of Light, Lightswitch is exploring Why Light Matters throughout 2015. The lighting design firm recently discussed the topic with George Jackson, who teaches introductory lighting at Palm Beach Atlantic University and previously taught advanced stage lighting at Valencia College in Central Florida. He has also designed and programmed lighting for various shows beyond those at the schools, and has also worked for Lightswitch Orlando.
