DMB, Neon Trees and Guns N’ Roses Touring with HES Shapeshifter Fixtures

AUSTIN, TX — High End Systems noted that its new Shapeshifter fixtures, introduced at Prolight + Sound in Germany, have drawn interest in the U.S. The company shipped the first C1 and W1 units to customers throughout May. The fixtures are now being included in the rigs for several prominent U.S. touring artists including The Dave Matthews Band, pictured here (LD Fenton Williams, equipment supplied by TMS), Neon Trees (LD Matt Guminski, equipment supplied by Digital Sound Systems) and Guns N’ Roses (LD Greg Shipley, equipment supplied by DPS).

Christie Showcases Visual Solutions At BroadcastAsia 2014

BOSTON – GrooveBoston stages some of the most legendary dance parties in the US, and for this year’s college campus tour, they turned to Robe to create an “electro-awesome” experience. The lighting rig contained Robe Pointes, LEDWash 1200s and LEDWash 600s – 12 of each type, all from Robe’s ROBIN Series. As they often visit venues where power is limited, the lower consumption of the Pointes was a real bonus that allowed LD Nathan Almeida to create potent full beam and aerial effects and dynamic ‘WOW’ factors that “you’d normally expect from a 1500 series fixture”.

SGM LP-700 LEDs Used for ‘Inside Out’ Installation in Sweden

MALMÖ, Sweden  – Based on a scene from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, the ‘Inside Out’ installation by Bo Andersson and Johan Moritz uses 20 cabinets with three LP-700 strings in each. Mikael Uddh from SGM Sweden explained, “The LP-700s were pre-mounted on customised plastic frames to fit the original design of the cabinets. The frames were also prepared with DC power supply and an ArtNet node to translate the ArtNet DMX into three universes of DMX to the LP-700.”
