LONDON – XL Video supplied projection and Catalyst control for the recent UK tour by indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club. Incorporating video into their live tour for the first time, LD Squib took visual influences from the work of photographer Eadweard Muybridge and utilized early stop-motion animation techniques and stylization. With projection being central to the show, two Panasonic PT-DZ21K 20K projectors were utilized, overlaid to optimize the brightness, with the set circles treated as one large surface, and all the content programed in to one of XLs Catalyst media servers.

Ayrton’s new Radical Series promises to combine a honed and streamlined appearance with a very narrow and intense beam, advanced thermal management and impressive output suited for use in arenas and stadiums as well as smaller venues. Most of the fixtures in the line (except for the WildBeam-R and IntelliPix-R) were kept under wraps until their launch at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt, Germany. LONDON – For American punk pop band All Time Low’s recent U.K. tour, Boston-based LD Jeff Maker specified more than 80 moving lights from Robe. The rig included 54 Pointes, 12 LEDWash 600s and 12 LEDBeam 100s, all from Robe’s Robin range. Maker credited the gear for helping meet the challenge of scaling the light show to different-sized venues.
