PixMob Technology Part of Tiësto Show Visuals at Hakkasan

LAS VEGAS – PixMob Video was used for the first time outside of the Super Bowl by Tiësto as part of his residency at Hakkasan Las Vegas. Some 2,500 Tiësto fans wore LED wristbands generating wireless video effects in sync with his music on Feb. 28. Pulsating with light as one organism, the crowd served as a part of Tiësto’s visuals. The technology will return as part of the show’s visual design during the DJ’s other shows at Hakkasan this year.

Clay Paky Fixtures Create A ‘Temple Of Light’ For Turkvision Song Contest 2013

The power of over 200 Clay Paky fixtures was employed to light the first-ever Turkvision Song Contest 2013 in an impressive lighting display that has been dubbed the ‘temple of light.’ To create a powerful and punchy colour scheme Klein and his team utilized the Clay Paky fixtures in a layered effect, building up the shows texture and intense of colour through the various beam outputs achievable with the Clay Paky fixtures. “We had to use light as a structure,” explained LD Eran Klein, “The show is a multi-national televised event and we wanted to find an abstract way to symbolise togetherness so we created the on-stage ‘temple of light’.”

Clay Paky Brights on 4U Rage Festival

In South Africa, school’s out and it’s time to party for the next two weeks. The 4U Rage Festival marks the end of the school year, and an estimated 80,000 kids will visit the resort town of Balito to celebrate. Hirezone supplied the lighting for the main dance floor at the Sound Factory in Balito which included two 6m Prolyte H30v Circles and Clay Paky Sharpies. “This was an opportunity to play with a massive rig on consecutive nights to packed houses and some of the best music on offer,” said LD Bradley Bruchhausen. “The ClayPaky Sharpies are awesome fixtures – they make any stage look epic.”

HSL Passes Grammar Test

The first full production tour by trip hop trio London Grammar featured a new GoldPix 77 LED surface. This is a 500 X 500 mm panel populated with 7 x 7 warm white LEDs with very narrow beam optics, which is incredibly light, robustly built and ideal for touring and making a high visual impact. The tour’s stylish and off-beat visual design was created by Steve Bewley, who rose to the challenge of producing a scalable and flexible rig that would look good wherever they played.
