HYDE PARK, NY – The Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park, New York, has reopened after a three-year refurbishing of the building which FDR gave to the nation through the National Archives. It not only includes his extensive presidential papers but also Roosevelt’s collections of ship models, rare books, coins and diplomatic gifts receivedfrom other governments. AV systems integration by Electrosonic, working under exhibit fabricator Explus, supports the museum’s narrative and helps visitors interpret a large array of exhibits.

YouTube Music Awards
YouTube is known for the spontaneous creativity of the artists and fans who post their videos to the site, and it was in that spirit that the inaugural YouTube Music Awards (YTMA) streamed live on Sunday, Nov. 3. The awards honoring the songs and artists that were viral hits globally this year were presented live at Pier 36 in New York City, and the 90-minute show lived up to YouTube’s promise of an untraditional event. Several of the winning artists, including Arcade Fire; Avicii; CDZA; Earl Sweatshirt; Tyler, the Creator; Eminem; Lady Gaga; Lindsey Stirling; and M.I.A., created live music videos on sets placed throughout the venue.

Production Express, Inc. Uses Martin Fixtures in Residential Application
YORK, PA — Lighting integrator Production Express, Inc. used 20 Martin Exterior 100 fixtures to light trees throughout the property of a local Pennsylvania homeowner. The homeowner is using the fixtures to light 80-foot-high trees on the property. The lights are programmed to run by themselves, but the homeowner can also manipulate the colors and brightness from a mobile device.
