WOLVERHAMPTON, U.K. — For No Saints’ 1,600-capacity nightclub, Faces, which opened here recently after a $1.19 million refurbishment of the space formerly occupied by Oceana, No Saints CEO Steve Thomas worked with SGM’s Peter Johansen and Cosmic Electronics on a new lighting design featuring SGM’s LED gear.

The fixture is equipped with 18 3W LEDs which can be individually controlled. By setting up multiple units together, designers can create a matrix to display patterns and chases. The N-E Color FX18 has a 25° beam angle. It is also controllable via DMX 512, offers three modes of operation and has several stand alone presets. It is equipped with 3-pin XLR connection inputs and outputs and powercon in and out.

LD Richard Lambert Lights Shadowlands with D.T.S. Gear

DEVON, U.K. — LD Richard Lambert lit Shadowlands, a production staged by the Unleashed Theatre Company at Buckfast Abbey’s Schiller Hall here, with a lighting rig that included Jack and Nick 600 Wash fixtures from D.T.S. Lighting. The production, directed by Jude Earnshaw, featured a set design by Roger Bloxham and Mark Cartier. It was produced in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the death of one of its main characters, the author and philosopher/theologian C.S. Lewis.

Museum Exhibit on Choctaw WWI Codetalkers Gets AV Assist from Alcorn McBride

TUSKAHOMA, OK — The Choctaw Nation Capitol Museum here has a new exhibit featuring the little-known Choctaw Codetalkers of World War I, who, like the more widely known Navajo Codetalkers of World War II, used Native American language to foil enemy forces — in the Choctaw Codetalkers’ case, enemy World War I forces from Germany. The exhibit got an AV assist from Alcorn McBride.

White Light’s Martin Gear Lights “From Here To Eternity”

LONDON — From Here To Eternity, the new musical based on the 1953 film and 1951 novel, opened recently at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London’s West End. Produced by Tim Rice, who also penned the lyrics, the show features music by Stuart Brayson and book by Bill Oakes. The show is using lighting equipment including Martin MAC Viper fixtures supplied by entertainment lighting specialist White Light.
