Maldives Political TV Debate Lit with PR Lighting Fixtures

MALE, Maldives — Siyaasath was a one-on-one prime time interview session televised by local broadcaster, TVM (Television Maldives). The program included the presenter, Liza Laurella, with four candidates: MDP (Maldivian Democratic Party), PPM (Progress Party of Maldives), JP (Jumhooree Party) and Dr. Waheed (an independent candidate). The TVM rig included fixtures from PR Lighting, including XLED 1037 and XR-300 Beam from local events company, Azidon Pvt, and these were designed into the stage set by Abdulla Shamin.

NEP Screenworks Provides Video Display for Dave Matthews Band Tour

For Dave Matthews Band 2013 summer tour, NEP Screenworks designed, built, installed and operated a custom video display that wrapped and curved the entire upstage of the band.  The video display was 22 feet tall and 62 feet wide, had a 120 degree curve and used customized curve mounting and mechanism. Driving the video wall as a Hippotizer HD with custom content and I-mag provided by Filament Productions.

NEC NC1100L Digital Cinema Projector with Laser Light Source

NEC Display Solutions of America launched a new Digital Cinema Projector, the NC1100L.  It uses a laser-light source that can deliver 2K DCI-compliant cinema quality imagery.  The projector also offers 3D capabilities and a 2-chip DMD reflection method.  Operating the projector is simple with its user-friendly controls.  The light source is expected to offer 20,000 hours of light.

Futurelight DMH-32

The Futurelight DMH-32 is a 32 watt, quad color, RGBW LED moving light in a compact size.  At just 15.4 pounds and measuring 9.4″ x 7.8″ x 13.3″, the fixture packs in a color wheel, special prism that allows for not just split colors, but gradients as well.  For beam projection effects, the fixture also includes a six gobo + open rotating wheel.

Billboard Latin Music Awards Relied on Avolites Ai for Video Mapping

MIAMI — Video mapping, projection and LED screens used for the Billboard Latin Music Awards here earlier this year were handled by two Avolites Media Ai Infinity 8 Servers and one Ai T8 server. The event was broadcast to 30 million viewers. Avolites Media Developer Ciaran Abrams worked closely with US-based lighting design and media presentation company DMDS7UDIOS on the 2013 Awards, held April 25 at the 7,972-seat BankUnited Center.
