LAS VEGAS — Morpheus Lights, the U.S. distributor of Ayrton LED luminaires, announced that sales and delivery the MagicPanel 602 LED luminaire has surpassed the 500 mark since the product’s U.S. introduction on July 1, 2013. Pictured here is the setup for Knife Party’s 2013 Electric Zoo Festival performance in NYC over Labor Day weekend; 77 Ayrton MagicPanel 602 fixtures were used.

SAO PAULO, Brazil — Lollapalooza, which ventured from Chicago’s Grant Park to Santiago, Chile in 2011 and Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2012, returned to the Jockey Club in Sao Paulo for the last three days in March, 2013. This year, Danny Tranekaer of Future Production reinforced the eco-friendly feel of the festival, staged here every August, with the use of energy-efficient SGM’s P-5 RGBW light fixtures. Together the 100 P-5s provided 2.5 million lumens of energy-efficient illumination for the event.

New England Concerts Canceled Amid Fears of Drug Overdoses

MANCHESTER, NH — Heightened concerns over party drug risks have led to the cancellation of concerts here and in the Boston area. The Barstool Blackout Tour concert set for Verizon Wireless Arena here Sept. 28 has been canceled, and the Electric Adventure concert at Six Flags New England the same night has been postponed.  The Ocean Club in Quincy, MA also voluntarily canceled a concert set for Sept. 20. The “Return to Fantazia” EDM concert planned at UMass Amherst Sept. 21 was also canceled.
