DORTMUND, Germany – This year’s annual Mayday 2012 celebration drew 25,000 ravers for one night to the dome of Westfalenhalle 1, which was converted under the direction of lighting and set designer Thomas Gerdon into the “mother of all raves.” The designer relied on new technology from GLP, using their latest generation Wash One and Spot One automated fixtures.

Coachella 2013 Advanced Tickets Sell Out

INDIO, CA — Goldenvoice, the AEG subsidiary that organizes the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, has not released a confirmed lineup of performers at next year’s festival, which will have the same double-weekend format as this year’s event, running from April 12-14 and April 19-21, 2013. But that didn’t stop buyers from snapping up all of the $349 general admission passes and $799 VIP passes within hours of when they became available on May 17.

Coachella Lights California Desert with LumenRadio CRMX Nova

INDIO, CA – This year’s Coachella Music and Arts Festival event experience was enhanced by the dramatic lighting of the festival grounds, made possible with LumenRadio’s CRMX Nova wireless control, installed by Felix Lighting.  Two LumenRadio TX2 RDM transmitters controlled three DMX universes of 20 SyncroLite 7K searchlights and 260 ColorKinetics ColorBlaze fixtures.  Seventeen LumenRadio receivers were placed on remote lighting towers up to three-quarters of a mile from the control center.
