ORLANDO — Bob Daniels, an account executive with PRG’s office in Orlando, died Oct. 30 after an automobile-related accident. Daniels, an avid musician, stagehand, tour manager, and lighting designer, began his touring career with the rock group Blackfoote in 1979.

Charlie Hulme Rejoins Philips Vari-Lite US Sales Team

DALLAS – Lighting industry professional Charlie Hulme has rejoined Philips Vari-Lite as Central US sales manager. The move is part of Philips’ realignment of the North American sales team. Hulme’s first stint at Vari-Lite was in 2003 as Western Region Sales Manager. In 2007 he moved to Lightolier Controls as National Sales Manager. In 2009 he took on the position as Quotations Manager at Strand Lighting, until his current move back to Vari-Lite – all of which have been under the same Philips corporate umbrella.

NEW CASTLE, DE –  Once again, Pete’s Big TVs has helped “Black Girls Rock!” The philanthropic organization’s awards show  – which celebrates those who have culturally contributed to the Black Experience – airs on the BET network Nov. 6. The show was taped at the Bronx’s Paradise Theatre in New York City – an old, ornate former movie house not meant for the big production it would successfully pull off.
