The LED Show Set for Rio Hotel in Las Vegas, July 26-27

LAS VEGAS — The LED show is set to get underway at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas July 26-27. The event includes a two-day conference with a full roster of speakers/presenters from 9 am to 5 pm on July 26 (day one), and from 9 am to 3 pm on July 27 (day two). The event also features a one-day Expo on July 27, from 10 am to 6 pm.

RSC Lightlock, and Its Inventor, Featured at Park Avenue Armory Aug. 2

NEW YORK — Vince Herbert, head of the Lighting Department for the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), which has taken up residency in New York’s Park Avenue Armory this summer, will be on hand to demonstrate RSC Lightlock’s motion stabilizing technology, discuss its evolution, and explain its use in the lighting system installed for the RSC in New York. The event is set for Aug. 2 in the Wade Thompson Drill Hall of the Park Avenue Armory beginning at 2pm. The event is free and open to the first 50 registrants.

WorldStage Serves Up Immersive Visuals for Upfront for The CW Network

NEW YORK — Valencia Production Partners (VPP) produced the high-energy 2011/2012 upfront for youth-oriented network The CW with support from WorldStage companies Video Applications, Inc. and Scharff Weisberg Inc. VPP, which has staged upfronts for The CW since its debut seven years ago, moved the venue to the Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center where the young actors associated with the network’s returning and new primetime series were joined by immersive visuals.
