Roundabout Theatre Company Hosting Virtual Convention for Off-Stage Jobs Dec. 7-9

New York, NY—The Roundabout Theatre Company, with support from The National Endowment for the Arts will host Opening Stage Doors, the first-of-its-kind virtual convening to share tools and innovations in job training, mentorship, and job placement, with the goal of helping remove traditional barriers to off-stage performing arts jobs. The three-day convening will be held virtually December 7-9, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET each day.

In Memoriam | John H. Kliegl II

John H. Kliegl II, the grandson and grandnephew of John and Anton Kliegl, the inventors of the arc light-based Klieglight for film production, died on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Born on September 9, 1935, Kliegl was 86 years old. Kliegl was the third generation to head the industry leading Kliegl Bros. Universal Stage Lighting Co., following the death of his father, Herbert A. Kliegl in 1968.
