Solaris Flares on Flume World Tour

VANCOUVER, BC – On the heels of his highly acclaimed second album release “Skin,” Flume is taking his electronic genre on a world tour. The Australian producer has had a successful year of festival performances alongside an extensive headline tour of North America, Europe, and Australia.“The current leg of the tour uses 26 Solaris Flares,” says tour LD Stu Dingley. “We use eight on the floor upstage to push color through the stage, and 18 overhead to melt the audience at key moments throughout the set”

INDIANAPOLIS — Every year, the event known as “Downtown Indy, Inc.’s Circle of Lights presented by IBEW #481” kicks off the holiday season with a spectacle that lights up the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Monument like a giant Christmas tree. The annual switch-on ceremony in late November made use of a roof, lights and stages provided by Mid-America Sound, with a video assist from Dodd Technologies. Mid-America Sound’s Bob Williams and John “Robo” Robison used an Avolites Sapphire Touch console to design, program and run the lighting show for the event.

TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Alpha Production team had one thing in mind when they put together the lighting rig for the Pepsi Funk Fest Tour when it stopped at Florida A&M University. The most important thing they focused on was movement. Their goal was to create a show that was constantly moving and changing so it could keep up with the artists on stage.

LOS ANGELES – Maxwell and Mary J. Blige are wrapping up their international “King & Queen of Hearts Tour” with a 24-date North American leg playing to packed houses.  Daunte Kenner and Justin Collie, the production and lighting designers for Mary J. Blige and Maxwell, respectively, selected a large complement of Claypaky Scenius moving head spotlights for the rig and grandMA2 consoles for lighting control.
