GLASGOW – Adlib will inaugurate its new Scottish warehouse in Glasgow with an afternoon / evening event on Thursday Oct. 13. Adlib has invested over £1million in the Scottish operation since its launch at the start of 2015. The new warehouse completes the current phase of development which also includes a substantial amount of new equipment and the set-up of a comprehensive infrastructure. Along with audio gear the facility will provide Martin, Robe, Chauvet and other lighting brands.

FLORENCE, Italy – The Showlight Quadrennial, organized specifically for lighting professionals by lighting professionals across the performance, television, film, architectural and event worlds, is set to take place May 20-23 in Florence, Italy. 

LONDON – Robert Juliat reports a successful experience at PLASA 2016 in London’s Olympia where it shared a stand with its exclusive UK distributor, Ambersphere Solutions. The focus was on Robert Juliat’s LED capabilities with the new Dalis 862 Footlight taking center stage. Launched officially at the show, Dalis 862 Footlight is a 150W LED batten of 48 white LED sources arranged in a double row. It shares RJ Dalis 860 Cyclight’s exclusive patented optical system of fixed micro optical asymmetric reflectors and delivers a tunable white from 6500K to 2200K.

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, UK –  The eco-conscious Shambala festival – a three-day family-friendly event staged at a secret location in Northamptonshire UK, features a diverse and eclectic mix of music, art, cuisine and culture. Fineline, the Bristol based lighting and visuals rental company has been associated with the festival for 12 years, and it was the 9th  year for project manager Stu England who led a large crew. Fineline has celebrated a super-busy 2016 summer festival season.

SOUTH AFRICA – Innibos is an action-packed high profile arts and music festival staged in and around Mbombela (Nelspruit) in South Africa, presenting Afrikaans music, theatre, literature and visual arts. Lighting was designed by Johan Ferreira of BF Productions and Levan van der Merwe respectively … with kit supplied by MGG (Main) and EPH Productions (Rock), both companies have large rental stocks of Robe luminaires. Once again the festival featured Robe moving lights on the Main and the Rock performance stages.
