SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Although the 2011 collapse of the Indiana State Fair’s stage structure in high winds served as a catalyst for the emergence of the Event Safety Alliance, the group has never limited its safety mission to hazards arising from nature. In the aftermath of the June 12, 2016 mass murder at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, where Omar Mateen killed 49 and wounded 53 before being killed himself by police, ESA has issued protocols for active shooter situations in public venues.

The show, “Half a Hundred,” coincided with the singer’s 50th birthday and depicted his creative development throughout the years. The lighting design of the concert was completely developed and implemented by the team at St. Petersburg-based Euroshow, one of Russia’s largest lighting rental companies. Voit Lites Acquires First Clay Paky Scenius Profiles in the U.S.

BURBANK, CA – Volt Lites has taken delivery of the first Clay Paky Scenius Profiles in the U.S., according to A.C.T Lighting, Inc., the distributor of Clay Paky fixtures in North America.  Voit Lites, which opened in 2010, added 24 of the luminaires to its inventory. The company already has a complement of Clay Paky Sharpy and Mythos fixtures. Clay Paky’s Scenius Profile fixture debuted at Prolight + Sound earlier this year, joining Clay Paky’s Scenius Spot fixtures, which had debuted in 2015.
