HILDESHEIM, Germany – The annual M’era Luna Festival, staged Aug. 9 at a former British Army airbase here, featured its usual mix of goth, metal and industrial music with headliners including Marilyn Manson, Paradise Lost and In Extremo. But this year’s lineup also included Covenant, an electronic dance band from Sweden, into the lineup. LOS ANGELES — The 14th BET Awards, broadcast live from Nokia Theatre June 29, capped off a weekend of live performances running from June 27-29 at the Staples Center and Club Nokia collectively called the BET Experience at L.A. Live. At Staples Center, performers included Maxwell and Jill Scott (June 27), OutKast and Rick Ross (June 28) and Mary J. Blige, Trey Songz and Jennifer Hudson (June 28). Creative Conners, based in Warren, RI, responded to the need from production company Stage House to have more surface contact between Creative Conners’ Revolver stage turntable mechanism and a drive ring mounted to the underside of the turntable. As a result, the company has modified their Revolver to provide better engagement between the 8” friction wheel of the machine and the drive ring of any existing turntable. The new design also gives operators easier access for maintenance on the friction wheel.
