RIO DE JANIERO — Measuring 85 meters (279 feet) in height, the Bradesco Seguros Christmas Tree has secured a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records as the Largest Floating Christmas tree in the world. BALINGEN Germany — The Christmas Metal Symphony 2013 European tour, which made its way through Sweden, the Czech Republic and Germany, featured a lighting design by LD Nick van Balen. The rig centered on Robe LED Wash moving lights, including 44 LEDWash 300s and 12 LEDWash 600s.

MONTREAL — Igloofest will return to Montreal with cold-weather outdoor revelry set for Jan. 16-18, 23-25, Jan. 30-Feb. 1 and Feb. 6-8. The event is co-produced by Piknic Electronik and the Quays of the Old Port, the section of the city where the event takes place. Tens of thousands are expected to brave the harsh conditions, including, of course, the supporting crew. 4U2C, headed by Yves Aucoin, issued a press release on its design for the Videotron Mobile stage.
