Two Belgian Venues Upgrade to Gio Lighting Control

ANTWERP, Belgium — De Vlaamse Opera and Koninklijk Ballet van Vlaanderen (Royal Ballet Flanders) – two venues here that are set to merge – were looking for new lighting control systems at the same time. After trying out options from a range of different manufacturers, both venues chose ETC Gio.

SAO PAULO, Brazil — Apple Produções provided close to 250 Robe moving lights for the two main stages at the 2013 Festa do Peão de Barretos here recently. The rigs included 72 Pointes, 24 MMX Spots, 24 LEDWash 600s, 24 LEDWash 1200s and 72 LEDBeam 100s all from Robe’s ROBIN series, plus 20 ColorWash 1200E ATs, 20 ColorSpot 1200E ATs and 10 ColorBeam 2500E ATs.

LONDON — LD Ed Warren specified a large assortment of various Chromlech Elidy LED panels for Mumford & Sons’ world tour earlier this year, including 12 Elidy-Big, 12 Elidy-S and 64 Elidy-Wall panels. MDG also provided 15 Robe Robin 600 LEDWash and 16 Robe Robin 1200 LEDWash moving heads along with atmospherics gear.

SUN CITY, South Africa – LD Joshua Cutts from Visual Frontier lit the 2013 South African Music Awards (SAMA) with a rig that included 8 Clay Paky Alpha Profile 1500s and 48 Clay Paky Sharpys. Dream Sets, the main provider of technical production services for the show, provided the gear.

LONDON — Stage Electrics provided an architectural LED lighting solution for Theatre Royal, Drury Lane here that included the use of Rosco’s Miro Cube 4C.

LONDON — Two off-site events linked to London’s Fashion Week with a lighting design by Nick Gray of Renegade—Jasper Conran at the Saatchi Gallery and Roksanda at The Place, London Bridge—included Robe Robin MMX WashBeam moving lights supplied by RML & Event Concept.
