Robe Gets to The Pointe at MTV Upfront

NEW YORK CITY – LD Tom Kenny specified Robe’s latest Pointe moving lights for the 2013 MTV Upfront presentation, staged at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.  This was the first “live” use of the newly launched Pointe in the U.S. Kenny has a penchant for using new technologies, and jumped at the chance to be the first LD in America to get hands-on with the new product.

UEP Makes A Pointe with New Investments for Chilfest

TRING, UK – Rental specialist Universal Event Productions (UEP) has invested in 12 of Robe’s new Pointe moving lights together with another 10 square meters of Glux-12 LED screen. The Pointes will debut on the two-day 2013 Chilfest music festival staged July 5-6 in Tring. The production design will also feature 60 square meters of Glux, which UEP first had designed and built last year.

Entec again worked with LD Tony Austin and the production team led by Tour Manager Neil Brighouse. Entec’s Noreen O’Riordan and Adam Stevenson project managed the one-off.

LOS ANGELES – When the annual Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival got underway, with its 24/7 schedule and desert location, Clay Paky lighting took center stage for the Main Stage performances of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.  Lighting designer Scott Holthaus had 70 Clay Paky Sharpys and 23 Clay Paky Alpha Beam 1500s in his inventory for the Chili Peppers’ nighttime shows on both festival weekends.
