USITT Announces Winners of YT&D Awards

SYRACUSE, NY – Up-and-coming entertainment designers from colleges around the nation will receive USITT Awards for Young Designers & Technicians in the Performing Arts, the United States Institute for Theatre Technology announced this week. LAS VEGAS – Avolites Media’s Ai media server has powered a 3D video mapping experience at one of Las Vegas’ biggest New Year’s Eve parties. The head movement offers adjustable speed of 540 degrees pan and 190 degree tilt;  it also offers auto position correction and magnetic sensor positioning. The fixture weighs 10 lbs.

NEW YORK – MTV’s New Year’s Eve celebration overlooking Times Square featured a set design by NYC-based AWB Design and Elation Professional’s EPV762 MH moving head LED video panels, supplied by LMG Nashville. Production designer Anthony Bishop of AWB collaborated with LMG’s Ken Gay to create the environment that worked for the live audience as well as for the cameras.

Andy Reese Joins Bandit Technical Service Staff

NASHVILLE – Andy Reese has joined Bandit Lites’ Technical Services Department as a technical assistant. His job is to coordinate with the technical services and sales departments to ensure that everyone gets the parts and supplies they need. He moved to Nashville after working in Tulsa, OK, as both an event and operations coordinator for the BOK Center and as the changeover manager for the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
