IATSE Training Trust Reimburses Cost of ETCP Certification

NEW YORK – The IATSE Entertainment and Exhibition Industries Training Trust Fund has initiated a program to offer reimbursement to those who take and pass any of the three ETCP Examinations – Rigger/Arena, Rigger/Theatre and Entertainment Electrician. Many IATSE Locals already reimburse their members for the full amount of their certification costs, but if a candidate or certified technician’s Local does not, the IATSE International resource is available.

ORLANDO – When Faith Assembly Church moved from their main campus in Orlando to a nearby significantly larger 300,000 sq. ft. space, the organization planned to make their megachurch technically savvy on a tight budget. Included in the list of new equipment installed and key to the church’s video production is a For-A video switcher set in the video control room. The Encore Broadcast Solutions team, led by Jeff Cameron, provided systems integration services including the design, sales and installation of all audio, video and lighting systems.

The historic 12.12.12 Concert For Sandy Relief, staged to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy, brought together some of the best and brightest of the live event industry for one memorable night. Taking the stage on December 12, 2012, at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, were Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Chris Martin, Eddie Vedder, Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Dave Grohl, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and Long Beach, Long Island native, comedian/actor Billy Crystal, who emceed the event.
