In Memoriam: Troels Volver, 58

Troels Volver, 58, a longtime executive with Aarhus, Denmark-based Martin Professional, died Jan. 3, 2013, after a short illness. Volver, who joined Martin in 1994 and served as CEO, spearheaded the company’s push into Singapore in 1996 and the U.S. market in 1998. Volver left Martin in 2005, working as a Denmark-based export executive for companies including SGM, an Italy-based lighting manufacturer.  Volver had fully retired from SGM at the time of his death. That company, which was acquired by Martin founder Peter Johansen, is now based in Aabyhoej, Denmark.

He used a large Stealth LED screen upstage, 30 panels wide by 17 deep, with more panels positioned around the curved front and mid trusses to create a crowning effect.

LD Paul Collison specified the string of LED Dots as accent lighting on ramp edges to replace the fragile LED tubes used on previous tours. Neg Earth provided the lighting.
