Jason Reberski Steers BCPA from Tungsten to GLP LEDs
BLOOMINGTON, IL – The Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA) in Illinois recently carried out a technical upgrade that has seen a number of GLP’s impression Spot One and Volkslicht Zoom LED fixtures replacing traditional tungsten heads. Jason Reberski of JR Lighting Design supplied the fixtures. He recommended the Volkslichts as he uses them in his own production rental inventory.

LJUBLJANA, Slovenia – Slovenia welcomed the 2012 festive season in style at the Red XMas Party, one of the country’s largest and hottest dance events, at the Arena Stozice in Ljubljana. Event Lighting supplied the lighting rig, which featured 70 Robe moving lights at its core. The design was based on a plot by Van Buuren’s LD André Beekmans, and operated by Michael Seeverens, both from Netherlands-based The Art Of Light.

ST. PETERSBURG – Martin Professional’s new 1000-watt MAC Viper Profile moving head made its Russian debut Oct. 6 with the rock band Leningrad. LD Elena Morozova created some special looks for the first 10 MAC Viper fixtures delivered to Russia. The show at the sports complex Yubileyny was arranged by the company Euroshow.

Indiana State Fair Roof Collapse Victims Receive $6M More from State
INDIANAPOLIS — The state of Indiana distributed an additional $6 million in payments to victims affected by the collapse of the roof structure in high winds at the Indiana State Fair on Aug. 13, 2011. The additional funds brings the total paid by the state in the aftermath of the collapse to $11 million. Indianapolis’ General Assembly approved the additional funding, which goes beyond the state’s $5 million limit in tort claims cases.

LONDON —British pop star Robbie Williams performed at London’s O2 Arena for three nights of concerts Nov 22-Nov 24. The final night was broadcast across England’s Sky1 network. PRG supplied the lighting package, including its Best Boy 4000 Spot luminaire, for Creative Director Willie Williams and Set Designer Mark Fisher. Williams brought in LD Allen Branton to consult on the lighting for the televised show.
