LOS ANGELES – In his fifth year of lighting the MTV Video Music Awards, LD Tom Kenny chose the GLP impression X4 to illuminate Florian Wieder’s futuristic set at Staples Center. CARDIFF, UK – Clay Paky Sharpys provided visual impact at Welsh rock band Lostprophets’ homecoming gig. LD Ian Tomlinson of ADLIB Design used Sharpys for their parallel beam effect, particularly shining the beams into the audience. He chose the fixtures for that laser-like look and the way they cut through other lighting in the rig, he says.

PARIS – French entertainment lighting provider, New Advanced Technology (NAT), has invested in 375 Ayrton Wildsun 500 K7 moving heads fixtures following several tests and comparisons with other manufacturers’ models. NAT also invested in 200 of the Ayrton Arcaline 2 fixtures, a 16 x 10W RGBW LED batten.
