Main Light Industries' LED-powered LightStar fiber optic illuminator, part of DiCon Lighting's FiberLamp product line, offers a broad spectrum of RGBW LED colors with output comparable to a 150-watt metal halide powered illuminator while weighing less and drawing less power. The unit requires only 2 amps, generates less heat, and uses a quieter fan than non-LED alternatives. The fiber port has a 30mm aperture, which can handle 900 points of fiber, enough to light one circuit of a 20'x30' Main Light LightScape fiber optic drapery.

Youth Olympic Games Ceremonies in Singapore Lit with 600+ Moving Lights

SINGAPORE – The Youth Olympic Games brought 3,500 Olympic hopefuls aged 14 to 18 from 204 countries to Singapore last year to compete in 26 events. The Opening and Closing Ceremonies, seen by 27,000 live and 2 billion via television, were lit with more than 1,900 fixtures provided by PRG. The more than 600 moving lights used for the events included Clay Paky Alpha Beam 1500s and Alpha Spot HPE 1500s.

NEW YORK – For the Big Apple Circus's recent Dance On! show under the Big Top, Scharff Weisberg provided lighting, audio and video equipment for a new entrance tent in Lincoln Center Plaza's Damrosch Park.
