Michael T. Strickland, Chair and Founder of Bandit Lites, Inc. has spent much of his time over the last 2.5 years working on behalf of the entire live entertainment industry by lobbying Congress for support and aid during, and now recovering from, the global pandemic shutdown. He has met with over 80 Senators, Representatives, and staff members during his efforts and one thing became clear to him, the live entertainment industry must speak to Congress with a single voice. THE Conference: Live at Lititz 2022

After decades of working with some of the biggest names in live music, four industry leaders have come together and launched a professional conference that will be unlike anything that has come before it—THE Conference: Live at Lititz. Macau Galaxy Casino: Lighting the Crystal Lobby Show

The Hettema Group (THG) has produced a shimmering glass sculpture environment, described as a ‘kinetic pavilion’ crafted from more than 380,000 precision-cut Bohemian crystals, at the Galaxy Macau hotel and casino in Macau. Further highlighting this centerpiece are 24 GLP impression X4 Bar 20 wash lights, all DMX controlled, which color wash the crystal dome.

The Gospel Music Association’s 53rd Annual GMA Dove Awards ceremony took place at Nashville’s sold-out Allen Arena on Oct. 18, and the taped show aired Oct. 21 on TBN. Along with the performances, the event named GRAMMY Award winner CeCe Winans Artist of the Year, and also honored Winans for Song of the Year for her No. 1 Billboard hit, “Believe for It.”

Hibino Lighting and CHAUVET Professional Create Camera-Friendly Retro Looks at Kennedy House

 

There are many ways to measure the success of a lighting design. At the top of the list is how well it supports the spirit and flavor of the music being performed on stage. At Kennedy House, an iconic nightspot in Tokyo’s Ginza area, this means reflecting the classic hits popular in Japan from the 1960s through the 1980s. The Hibino Lighting team kept this goal firmly in mind when redesigning the lighting rig at the club, which opened its Ginza branch in 1985. “Songs from the classic era make up most of the music at this venue,” said Hiroshi Adachi of Hibino Lighting. “Most of the clientele grew up in that era. They come here to enjoy a meal, listen to music, and have fun.
