Wenger Announces New J.R. Clancy PowerLift and PowerLite Hoists

Wenger Corporation announced the new J.R. Clancy PowerLift Hoist with significantly more capability, and the PowerLite hoist, a cost-effective solution with robust flexibility and options. “Our engineering team did it again by creating two hoists that allow us to better serve the needs of theaters and performing arts centers of all sizes,” said Patrick Finn, Wenger Corporation Performing Arts Product Manager. “We built on our proven hoist capabilities to allow more venues to take advantage of the safety and convenience of motorized rigging.”

Stellar Awards Shine in Nashville with Bandit Lites and Mark Carver

NASHVILLE – Bandit Lites once again provided the gear for LD Mark Carver’s lighting design for the Stellar Awards for Gospel music. The 36th annual event was recorded at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and hosted by Tye Tribbett and Jekalyn Carr. The show was then aired Aug. 1 on BET. Along with honors for the year’s best performances in the genre, the show gave tribute to Gospel music icons and the genre’s longtime supporters.

‘Les Misérables’ Staged in U.K. as Socially Distanced Concert with Previz Assist from disguise

LONDON – Les Misérables returned to the newly refurbished Sondheim Theatre in Dec. 2019 before shows were canceled in March 2020 by Covid-19. For a socially distanced concert version of the show last winter and this summer, video designers Finn Ross and Jonathan Lyle got a previz assist from disguise software.
