SHANGHAI, China – For GSMA’s Mobile World Congress in Shanghai in late June, designer Nick Ho used his ChamSys MagicQ MQ60 console for a work-around that helped him meet a tight deadline. “We used a feature in the ChamSys called the ‘Art-Net Retransmit.’ This allowed us to use the MQ60 to transmit the incoming LTC to Pangolin via Art-Net,” Ho said.

Rammstein Tours European Stadiums with Claypaky Fixtures

VIENNA, Austria – Roland Greil and Patrick Woodroffe of Woodroffe Bassett Design (WBD) specified Claypaky HY B-Eye K25, Scenius Unico, Mythos 2 and Sharpy fixtures for Rammstein’s 2019 summer stadium tour in Europe. WBD also did the tour’s show design, with Florian Wieder serving as production designer, Cuno Hahn as set designer and Faren Matern and Marc Brunkhardt as lighting directors. Neg Earth supplied the fixtures for the tour, which resumes next spring and summer.

DORTMUND, Germany – For Udo Lindenberg’s Live 2019 tour, the veteran rocker, artist and activist toured his native Germany, energizing audiences with a spectacle that included up to 50 performers on stage. PRAGUE – For Let It Roll 2019, which drew 25,000 to Milovice Airfield, a former Soviet-era airbase north of Prague in the Czech Republic, a lighting rig with nearly 100 Robe fixtures adorned the main stage, a.k.a. Mothership, during the festival, devoted to drum and bass sounds. They included Pointes, MegaPointes, Spiiders, Tarrantulas, CitySkape Xtremes and BMFL Blades, all supplied by JESA.
