I like coming to Vegas in November. I prefer it over October simply because by the time you read this it will be freezing outside where I live and Vegas is always warm if you’re outside. I wouldn’t mind if they went back to having LDI rotating cities though. I always catch up with a different set of friends on the right coast than I do out here. But hey, it’s that time of year and it’s gonna be great regardless.

MIDDLETON, WI – ETC’s booth at LDI 2017 will be awash in color as the new ColorSource CYC luminaire makes its debut at the Las Vegas Convention Center next week. From November 17-19, visitors to booth #2773 can demo the new fixture – a compact, affordable five-color LED cyclorama light that specializes in smooth washes and rich color – and see its striking optics in action on the booth’s cyc.
NEW YORK – When MTV’s iconic TRL returned to the air on October 2, after a nine-year hiatus, it represented a homecoming of sorts for Mike Grabowski of the Lighting Design Group. Having worked on the star-studded program in the final years of its original run, Grabowski was familiar with the challenges of lighting a live show with an enormously eclectic mix of artists and programming formats.
