MIDDLETOWN, WI — Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC) announced March 31 that it is buying High End Systems, the Austin, TX based lighting manufacturer that was acquired by Netherlands-based Barco in 2008. ETC will operate High End as a separate company located in its current Austin, TX location. High End customers will continue to contact the Austin office for sales and service, and sales distribution channels worldwide remain the same for the foreseeable future.

MIAMI — The 2017 Ultra Miami dance music festival drew top DJs from around the world, who, in turn, drew close to 150,000 EDM fans to Miami’s Bayfront Park for a long weekend of shows staged March 24-26. Robe moving lights were specified for four of the main performance areas, including the Carl Cox & Friends Arena, the Main Stage, the Live Stage and Arcadia, featuring a giant spider sculpture assembled from recycled industrial waste.
