PRO3, Mexico City-Based Design Firm, Using their Own Robe Pointes for Various Projects

MEXICO CITY — Osvaldo “Chicho” Giuliano Ipictured here), Juan Carlos “Charly” Zamudio and Fulkas Camacho, the three partners who formed the PRO3 lighting design collective based in Mexico City’s Condesa neighborhood, have some of their own lighting gear on hand to facilitate projects that range from corporate events and architectural lighting to theatre work and concert show design. Their inventory includes 36 Robe Pointes.

RAS AL-KHAIMAH, UAE — Every year on Dec. 2, the UAE celebrates National Day. At Ras al-Khaimah, one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, Dubai-based Lighthouse Productions provided a visual assist for the FakhrakYaWatan (The Pride of the Nation) event, where some 800 singers, dancers and actors perform 15 different acts on an 88-by-12-meter stage. To handle 18 million pixels of custom video and graphic content, Lighthouse Productions used three Avolites Ai T Series media servers.

WILKES-BARRE, PA — Mountain Productions named Simon Franklyn, a veteran who has worked as a tour production rigger for top artists including Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac and The Who, as the company’s Director of West Coast Operations. Along with his touring experience, Franklyn has supported complex events including Lotte World in Seoul, the 1996 Olympic Games, an 80,000 square-foot scaffolding system for Universal Studios’ Jurassic Park, and work on the main stages at Desert Trip, Panorama and Coachella, among other projects.
