Wenger Acquires Secoa Assets

LEWISBURG, PA — For Bucknell University’s Harvey M. Powers Theatre and the Tustin Studio Theatre, lighting designer Heath Hansum worked with Starlite Productions on a lighting upgrade that included PHX LED ellipsoidals from Altman Lighting. With zoom ranges from 15-35 or 30-55 degrees, a 360-degree rotating barrel, and its die cast aluminum fabrication, the PHX LED is available in a diverse line of LED choices including RGBA, RGBW, 3000K, 5600K, and tunable white versions as well.

NASHVILLE – Singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw recently wrapped a tour with a lighting package provided by Bandit Lites. The Grammy nominated artist traveled across the country on a three month, 50+ show excursion that showcased both his popular hits and newest album, Something Worth Saving. Lighting designer Mat Gass built a look that saved on space put still offered a great output with a functional floor package.

NEW YORK – For an October event promoting the relaunch of Reebok’s Pump shoes at an Insta Fury Pop Up Shop space in midtown Manhattan, Ben Danielowski of Boum Creative of New York used eight Rogue R2 Wash and six Rogue R1 Spot fixtures from Chauvet Professional. The event also made use of four Next NXT-1 panels and eight Nexus 4X1 linear fixtures.

LOS ANGELES – Stevie Nicks has gone solo for the “24 Karat Gold Tour” playing more than two dozen arena dates in North America before the end of the year.  The tour launched in Phoenix on Oct. 25 and concludes at the Forum in Los Angeles on Dec. 18. Production designer Paul Guthrie of Toss Film & Design Inc. in Minneapolis chose 88 Claypaky Mythos fixtures for the lighting rig and a grandMA2 console for show control.

LERMA, Mexico – Elation Professional opened a new distribution center facility near Mexico City The facility, located near ransportation services in the town of Lerma, just outside of Mexico City, is headed by Abraham Levit and John Lopez, who will manage Elation Professional’s sales rep network in Mexico as international sales manager.

AARHUS, Denmark—Martin by Harman announced the next leg of its “Enlightenment on the Road” demo tour. After successful runs in May and August, the tour will now visit seven cities in the eastern U.S. from Nov. 29-Dec. 14. Starting in Cleveland OH, the tour continues to Pittsburgh PA, Boston MA, Weehawken NJ, DC/Baltimore Area, Charlotte NC, and ends in Orlando, FL. 

AUSTIN, TX -– Production designer Tobias Rylander created a dynamic and versatile light show for Texas post-rock five-piece, Explosions in the Sky, using 16 of GLP’s X4 Bar 20 LED battens. Knowing these could be used to create big fields of light from an economical package, the designer sourced the fixtures from vendors, VER.
