The event, which took place Saturday, April 16, reached new heights in terms of student participation, lighting designer involvement and the overall learning experience. HANNOVER, Germany – The Harting Technology Group, which is affiliated with Harting USA in Elgin, IL, was honored April 24 with the 2016 Hermes Award. Harting and four other companies had been nominated for the 2016 honor. Harting won for its MICA (Modular Industry Computing Architecture) mini-industrial computer. KNOXVILLE, TN  – While the name may suggest otherwise, The University of Tennessee Medical Center’s annual fundraising gala, ‘An Evening in Orange’ was a glittering evening of white, with a lighting package donated by Bandit Lites. The black tie event and dance party took place April 16 and benefited The Cancer Research Endowment, where UTMC’s CEO Joe Landsman announced that, during this year alone, the Cancer Research Institute raised over $4 million.

Hermes Illuminates Mexico City’s Paragon Tower with PR Lighting LEDs

MEXICO CITY – The 489-foot-high tower that’s part of the Paragon Business & Residential Suites in Mexico City’s Santa Fe district is adding a new dose of color to the Mexico City skyline with an architectural lighting project completed by Hermes Music México. The design called for LED color washes from one of their principal suppliers, PR Lighting. Hermes Music Mexico lighting specialist Ricardo R Segura de la Cruz made use of four of PR Lighting’s Arc Led 3216 fixtures to light the top of the building and XPar 390 fixtures to light the base.

Protec Lights Up the Autism Rocks Celebration In Dubai

DUBAI, UAE –  On April 1, the day before the UN-designated World Autism Awareness Day (April 2), Protec LD Aaron Russ lit Flo Rida and Tyga on a temporary stage dubbed the “Autism Rocks Arena.” Kicking off Autism Awareness Month, Austism Rocks awareness-and-fundraising concerts were launched by British born businessman and philanthropist Sanjay Shah, whose young son, Nikhil, was diagnosed with autism in 2011. Since Autism Rocks concerts began, performers have included Lenny Kravitz, Joss Stone, Drake and Prince.
