Ukraine M1 Music Awards Rig Includes Clay Paky Sharpys, B-Eye K20s

KIEV, Ukraine – More than 200 Clay Paky fixtures have delivered an extraordinary light show at one of the Ukraine’s biggest televised events of 2015, The M1 Music Awards. The event, which took place at the Palais des Sports in Kiev and was produced by the M1 Music Channel, saw a large gala-style concert with performances from the country’s biggest pop stars. Lighting designer Maksym Balashov of  rental operation ALIGHT specified an extensive package of Clay Paky fixtures for the show and awards ceremony, including 162 Sharpys and 24 x A.leda B-EYE K20s.

LJUBLJANA, Slovenia — “Restaurant Is Looking for a Chef” (Gostilna išče šefa) is a popular Slovenian reality TV show produced by broadcaster Pro Plus, shot both on location at a restaurant in Ljubljana, and with a substantial studio section recorded in Pro Plus’s main facility in Ljubljana. Lighting designer Ziga Krajnc looked after the studio aspects of the most recent series for which he specified eight of Robe’s LEDWash 800s, LEDBeam 100s, MMX Spots and PARFect 100s. These were a combination of new fixtures purchased by the studio this summer and rental items from locally based Event Lighting.

Elation’s RDMX6S 6-way RDM/DMX data splitter promises to be useful in maintaining proper data levels over long runs or several runs of RDM or DMX signal. The RDMX6S helps to correct disruptions in the signal by splitting the DMX/RDM data link into six separate branches while boosting the weak signal to its original output level before it becomes too low. RDM E1.20 compliant, the RDMX6S features opto-isolated DMX output ports with DMX loop through port with built-in termination. It houses 5pin XLR input, a 5pin XLR thru output, (6) 5pin XLR outputs and powerCON In connection. Founded in 1992, the award, which is determined by ballots cast by the 23, 000 members of Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, has honored legends like Super Mario as well as newcomers like Dragon Age Inquisition. Its’ acronyms name stands for “Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain.” The four words aptly describe the games that were up for D.I.C.E. Awards at this year’s ceremonies. Morris Uses Clay Paky, grandMA2 Consoles for 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend

NASHVILLE – It was Nashville’s turn to host the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend, and the four-day event in Music City was packed with enough star power on and off the ice to excite thousands of hockey fans.  Morris, formerly known as Morris Light and Sound, was charged with conceptualizing and executing the audio and lighting installations and providing 24/7 production management at five venues during the weekend. Morris deployed large complements of Clay Paky Mythos and Sharpy Wash 330 fixtures along with grandMA2 consoles at three of the locations.

All Time Low Tours U.K./Ireland with Elation ACL 360 Bar Fixtures

DUBLIN – American pop punk band All Time Low performed at major venues in the U.K. and Ireland in February, joined by Sleeping with Sirens on their “Back to the Future Hearts” tour. LD Jeff Maker was looking for a special lighting effect to complement a series of diamond-shaped video screens. He found it in Elation Professional’s ACL 360 Bar moving head batten. Leeds-based Zig Zag Lighting supplied the fixtures. The arena tour promoted the band’s sixth studio album, Future Hearts, released in April 2015. Maker used his Avolites Sapphire Touch console for control.
