The Parnelli Awards: Part of Patrick Stansfield’s Legacy

Stansfield died Oct. 28 in Burbank, CA at age 70. Mark Kuepker, JDI Productions’ project manager for the event, noted how Chauvet Professional’s WELL 2.0 fixtures met the strategic needs of the project. Even though the historic fort had ample power supplies, Kuepker noted that the battery-powered fixtures were easy to set up and eliminated the possibility that guests might trip on power cords.

In addition to the much-coveted title as Danish Favourite DeeJay of the Year, Kongsted is also the lighting designer of his own shows. For his recent music video for his new hit track R.E.D., Kongsted hung 72 of SGM’s one meter LED tubes (LT-100) from the ceiling. “The things you can create visually with these tubes are really amazing. It gives the whole experience a sense of being alive.” He continues: “With the 3D effect, it can be seen from every angle, and this is a very strong feature in my opinion. Another thing that makes it unique for me is that it is controlled by Art-Net, giving more opportunities from a visual standpoint in creating a strong visual expression.”
