Pearl Jam Lightning Bolt Tour Gets Video Support from CT in U.K./Europe

MILTON KEYNES, U.K. – Working with video director Blue Leach, Creative Technology provided video gear in support of a 12-show U.K./European tour leg that was part of Pearl Jam’s ongoing world tour in support of the band’s 10th studio album, Lighting Bolt, which was released last fall. The tour leg began in Amsterdam in mid-June and finished with a concert here July 11. The shows featured a form of I-Mag (in black and white), a rarity for the band’s live shows.

Chauvet Professional relayed Schellenger’s comments on how he was able to use the fixtures within a lighting design that takes its inspiration from the hues of a sunset – including the “green flash” phenomenon noted by some who have watched the setting sun.

LD Jason Ayala Uses Chauvet Fixtures to Light Many Hopes Gala

NEW YORK – A collection of 16 Chauvet PVP S5 LED panels lit up the DJ booth and dance floor at the second annual Many Hopes Gala. The panels were part of a lightshow created by LD Jason Ayala who praised their flexibility and brightness. “There were no moving fixtures in this party, just uplights and the panels,” he said. “We relied on the panels to bring the party-like atmosphere to the dance floor and they didn’t let us down.”

Serious Stages on Tour With Elton John

LONDON – Serious Stages, which first worked with Elton John in 2012, has once again been entrusted to provide the staging for concerts in two newly built sports stadia, Leigh Sports Village Stadium, Manchester (the setup for the June 21 concert is pictured here) and Colchester United’s Weston Homes Community Stadium (June 29). Tour promoter Marshall Arts has supported Sir Elton in finding new venues away from the usual touring circuit to take his music to the fans.
